Democratizing Law, Empowering Africa
Who We Are
Mitemo is a Pan-African legal education platform on a mission to turn complex laws into tools of liberation. Founded in Zimbabwe and rooted in African values, we break down legal jargon, colonial legacies, and systemic barriers through accessible multimedia content, tech-driven innovation, and storytelling that speaks to the people.
Our Why
For too long, the law has been a weapon of intimidation, not empowerment. We believe that knowing your rights is the first step to claiming them—whether you’re a woman fighting for fair maintenance, a youth navigating civic rights, or a community challenging unjust systems.
Our Mission
To democratize legal knowledge across Africa by transforming laws into actionable, relatable education—empowering individuals to advocate for justice, dignity, and equity.
Our Vision
A continent where equitable access to the law dismantles oppression, fosters accountability, and builds a future where justice is not a privilege, but a right.

Our Story
Mitemo began as a radio talk show in 2021, hosted by Rumbidzai Venge, who saw firsthand how legal illiteracy perpetuated injustice. Today, we’re a dynamic platform bridging the gap between courtrooms and communities across Africa.
From dissecting Zimbabwe’s 2013 Constitution to leading campaigns against gender-based violence, we’re driven by one truth: the law belongs to everyone.
